Here was something interesting that was sent to us from Coachmen about salt on trailer chassis that will build up on the way south for the winter if you left when they were salting the roads.
To Our Valued Customers:
Winter is once again upon us and we would like to take a moment to send a
reminder regarding the importance of proper maintenance of our frames.
As you are all aware the effects of salt, sand and ice melting chemicals
have an adverse affect on our paint process.
The corrosives are especially, harmful if not removed from the frame as soon as possible. Washing the frame is especially important during the winter driving season. The danger of exposure to road chemicals is not limited to only the "northern snow", states. Many southern states use salt and ice melt solutions as well and we would like to ensure you are aware all dealers need to be made aware of this requirement.
And a little funny...
One winter morning a husband and wife in northwest Ohio were listening to the radio during breakfast. They heard the announcer say, "We are going to have 8 to 10 inches of snow today. You must park your car on the even-numbered side of the street, so the snowplows can get through." So the good wife went out and moved her car. A week later while they are eating breakfast again, the radio announcer said, "We are expecting 10 to 12 inches of snow today. You must park your car on the odd-numbered side of the street, so the snowplows can get through." The good wife went out and moved her car again. The next week they are again having breakfast, when the radio announcer says, "We are expecting 12 to 14 inches of snow today. You must park...." Then the electric power went out. The good wife was very upset, and with a worried look on her face she said, "Honey, I don't know what to do. Which side of the street do I need to park on so the snowplows can get through?" With the love and understanding in his voice , the husband replied, Honey my love….
"Why don't you just leave it in the garage this time."
The Garage Doctor
A mechanic was removing a cylinder-head from the motor of a Harley motorcycle when he spotted a well-known cardiologist in his shop. The cardiologist was there waiting for the service manager to come and take a look at his bike when the mechanic shouted across the Garage, 'Hey Doc, want to take a look at this?' The cardiologist, a bit surprised, walked over to where the mechanic was working on the motorcycle. The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked, 'So Doc, look at this engine. I open its heart, take the valves out, repair any damage, and then put them back in, and when I finish, it works just like new. So how come I make $39,675 a year and you get the really big bucks ($1,695,759) when you and I are doing basically the same work?' The cardiologist paused, smiled and leaned over, then whispered to the mechanic... 'Try doing it with the engine running.'
And last but not least... if you have not seen the movie now playing in the movie theaters It’s Complicated with Meryl Streep, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin you got to go see it. It’s a funny one!
Have a safe February
